Questions with Bonnie

Bonnie gets inundated with questions on instagram so we've asked her to answer some of the most asked questions about Basics by B here:

How old are you?

B: Haha how is this a most asked question! I'm 41.

When are you bringing out foundation in your range?

B: It is on my radar but it takes a lot of development so I will look at introducing it in 2024/25. But don't hold me to it. I won't be launching anything that isn't exactly right and foundation is a tricky one!

What is YOUR favourite product in your range?

B: I can't decide between Face Palette 1 (the OG!) and Miami glow drops. I just love the bronze colour of Miami, and the warm tones of Palette 1 really make my eyes stand out- even though I'm a cool toned person.

How often do I need to wash my brushes?

B: I always say 2 weeks is a great guide for someone who applies makeup daily. You will notice the brushes won't do as good a job and the colours will get muddied if you let it build up any longer than 2 weeks.

How do I know what palette will suit my skin tone?

B: All of the Basics by B palettes suit anyone. It just comes down to personal choice in the end. If you're a cool toned person don't think you have to buy the cooler toned palette. Funnily enough sometimes opposites look best, for example a cool toned person looks incredible with the warm tones in palette 1.

How to do a winged eyeliner?

B: Everyone wants to know! It is the first thing I get asked to teach at my masterclasses. So I made a little video. Click the link to watch: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cv4Q2A1NOiI/

Is your mascara waterproof?

B: Yes it certainly is! BUT it washes off easily with warm water. The Drama Mascara tubular formula makes it stick to the lashes without any crumbling, and makes it slide off the lashes with warm water.
